Our newest demo!
Hello fellow kings and king-ettes!
We here at the RPChess Club are proud to share our newest tech demo of "Board of the Kings!" This demo will be available for play at MAGWest (on July 14th and 15th only!), but for those early birds who want a free game on itch, we're making it freely available here to play!!
What's new?!
We've received a large amount of feedback from our last showcase in April, and we've been making deliberate strides to improve on the game. These changes include quality-of-life fixes, adding more music, fixing our current in-game upgrades, and adding small bits and dialogue to give some personality to the RPG we hope to build from Chess.
Some of the major improvements include:
A new upgrade screen!
An improved battle layout!
And we also added a simple tutorial for good measure.
We're still very early in development, but we hope that these new improvements help make gameplay more enjoyable and less confusing. It's not a normal Chess game, and we're really trying to get to wild, new abilities and build on our insane little Chess world as soon as possible.
So if you plan to come to MAGWest this year, we hope you'll stop my our booth and give it a try. And if you miss out, the same demo is free here on itch! We promise tournament mode won't go on forever this time around!
